There is little meta-curation, except liberal and inclusive definitions of art.

All projects, ranging from amateur to institutional, are welcome.

Projects are included on a voluntary basis.

This is a free, shared platform, intended to share resources.

There are no formal affiliations to major institutions or establishments.

Projects are usually connected to Singapore, because we’re starting here.

The idea of Wide Open Space was seeded in 2018 when a neutral online platform was created to share about a joint art exhibition. The facebook page was neglected afterwards.

As the need for a neutral online space arose recently again, resulting in the outpouring of limited resources on project naming (checking gmail, domain, social media availability, etc) the idea to create a simple, neutral space for future collaborative projects resurfaced…

This page is created and shared with other cultural producers… to consolidate resources and audiences and contribute and form the community. It is created in the spirit of advocating art.
